I am just an old man Wizard trapped in a young-ish female body. I enjoy creation magic such as sewing, prop building and playing with worbla/ foam. Oddly enough these sometimes also are categorized as dark arts. I like to think of myself as a well rounded cosplayer and builder and even though I have been doing this since 2009 I have so many more things to do or learn. I have been sewing since I inheritid my grandmother’s old Singer sewing machine in 1998. I fancied myself a high end wardrobe designer at that time and neither curtain nor sheet were safe. Outside of cosplay hobbies I work in the medical field, I love reading fantasy and scifi books, getting muscles, drinking good dark beers, playing video/ board games with my husband and walking our stubborn corgi, Brenner.
Lexi Schenck

Lexi Schenck

Lexi Schenck is an Asian-ish cosplayer, performer and creator from the Seattle area. She’s been cosplaying for over ten years and has somehow managed to avoid sewing the majority of that time, with few exception. She often cosplays with her husband, Steven, who loves to sew, much to Lexi’s great relief. Her biggest passion lies in prop and armor builds, second only to her passion for eating her feelings.

I’m an ENFJ Hufflepuff who spends most of her time passionately arguing over Marvel films, comic books, and video games. In my free time I also enjoy drinking wine and playing with cute animals, or, you know, making costumes. At this point in my life I’ve made way too many Black Widow and Bioware costumes, because that’s where my heart lies, but I’m always interested in trying out a new process or material, or making something way weird and out there. I don’t shy away from most anything, which has resulted in multiple near death life-casting experiences and Vaseline in places it just shouldn’t go. Hey, I love it though.

My day jobs have varied from hiking mountains to collect data for cougar research, assisting with veterinarian procedures on pets and then as far a raising a bunch of large carnivores. When I’m not challenging my luck with teeth and claws, video games and eating make up the majority of my time. And in between everything, I create elaborate costumes that challenge my every being. I’ve been cosplaying for 6 years now and have attended over 30 conventions. My favorite median is working with EVA foam and thermoplastics to create armor sets from video games. I enjoy creating every part of my kits. Except boots and pants. Those are hard. With each new cosplay I try to challenge myself with a new approach. Not necessarily to make it over the top, but to apply a new technique I haven’t tried before. My ultimate goal is to make a kit that looks like it just stepped out of a game. Or to make a cosplay for my dog. Because reasons.

I was born and raised in Georgia, where my mother raised me on all things bloody and scary. I have many hours logged wearing facial prosthetics and body paints. I tend to specialize more towards horror based modeling but I am experienced in more natural and beauty projects as well.
